Default Good Camera for recording concerts??

Hi I'm looking to buy a reasonably priced point and shoot camera (under $200) that has good audio/video quality and takes pretty good pictures as well. It would be nice to have a camera that can zoom in and out while recording and if possible take pictures while recording. My main concern is to not buy a camera where all I will hear is the heavy bass in the recording. Any recommendations???

Cameragirl;
Welcome to the forums. Wish I could help, but I don't really have any expertise with video. The first forum at the top of the page is all about what camera to buy, and may already have the info you are looking for, or if you ask your question there, it is more likely to get a response.

Funny, I have a very similar problem, finding out what makes a point and shoot would work well for videos?"

I actually joined this forum a few minutes ago (hello all!) to find out more, and tried another well-known forum and asked, but they are into still photos there...!

My wife has a Canon SX260 and it does a great job, but its successor the SX280 is a problematic unit (fixed firmware maybe?).

I want cheap and good so I can take it anywhere without worry. Almost exclusively for laptop viewing.
