Default Kodak easyshare

Ok, so I know that many have had the problem of removing "kodak easyshare"
software from their computers--I am one of them-help.
I have tried the traditional uninstall methods to no avail. So I went into register
edit--deleted the main item and all its subs. Thought that was it--not so fast,
the darn thing is still there--there should be a law-i have been struggling with this off and on for months-it pops every time i sign on and i have to go to end prog to get it to go away.--It is a monster.

Can anyone tell me once and for all how to rid myself of this piece of junk?

Right now I am not thinking kindly of Kodak at all.

thanks, dave

The simple way is to run MSConfig from the RUN... command, click on the Startup tab, and uncheck Kodak Easyshare.

If you look at All Programs, you should find a folder called Startup. If the program is visible in that folder, delete it.
If that doesn't help, you will need to find the system configuration utility. How you get there depends on which Windows version you have. With XP, you can just use Start>Run and type in sysconfig. With Win7, use Control Panel > Administrative Tools > System configuration utility. Open the tab for startup items, and disable the program.

MSConfig is intended as a troubleshooting tool, not a long term cure, but it will do what you want. The long term cure is to use the info available in MSConfig to change other things permanently, like deleting things from the Start Menu like VTphotog mentioned, or to edit the registry which can be tricky and dangerous.

I always find Revo Uninstaller to be useful. Scans and finds all traces of programs needing uninstalling.

When you position the AF area over the subject, and press the shutter button half way down, you'll find out if it's in focus. If the AF Area is blinking, the subject is not in focus. When it's lit solid, the subject is in focus.
