Default Digicam with Firewire, decent quality fair price

Dear friends,
I want to buy a new camera in the near future.

I'm used with a Epson 3100Z that, for what I have to do (mostly macro photos) is pretty good.

My "dream camera" should have the following features:

1) Mandatory firewire with optional USB 2.0
2) Decent quality (>= Epson 3100Z)
3) Compact Flash I (and, not mandatory) II
4) Fair price

Is anything available now or with the upcoming generation of cameras?

Sorry if my question appears a bit lame :-)

currently the only models with firewire onboard are dslr types(D1x/h). mucho bucks($4k+).
to me the output of the camera itself is a non issue. i plugged my camera in precicely once when i bought it just to see if it worked. since in order to save battery power on camera i use an external reader/writer and swap cards for redundancy purposes. i just ordered a lexar firewire reader today for a whopping $37 US delivered ref:

i think you should be concentrating on lens and other quality issues. cf2 would be a higher priority also if you intend to use a microdrive or other tech coming downline. usb2 is just starting to filter in. i believe the new sony 717 supports 2.0. bad thing about it is memory 'chewing gum' stick only.
