I'd get a small second card just for backup!

On last two trips to Sweden, I took TWO 35mm Point/shoot cams and TWO camcorders just in case...

Have had too many failures to rely on just one camera!

i would think that you could buy a 10-15 dollar package of 10 CDs and just ask if the photo lab would put them on there...if they won't do it for free...maybe they'll do it for a couple bucks....it may be costing them 2 cents electricity and 2 minutes of their time, so you shouldn't have to pay much.....

i had this exact problem, i'm going on a long Out West trip next year...and i needed a way to dump my pictures...so i bought this laptop...works great but it was 600 dollars...cheap for a laptop but not cheaper than just having them burn the CDs for you...

Had the same problem in 2000 when I visited the UK.

Surfing the net I accidently came across the X-Drive advertised by Mydigitaldiscounts

USA. It seemed the answer to my nightmare as I only had 32MB.

Doing my sums between 40GB storage and umpteen cards I imported one into

Australia. After two visits to the UK and approx 6000 pix later it was money

well spent.

These units have been upgraded and other brands are in the market place.

DO NOT rely on always finding a place to burn CD's.It's making it's third trip in four

weeks and will be the firstitem in the bag. GB Perth WA

Hi Guillermo,

Have on your trip?

How many weeks will you be gone?

Take blank CD media and a card reader with you. When you see someone with a laptop with a CD-RW drive, ask them to copy your images to CD.

If you take twice the blank media (CD)s you think you will need, then you can mail one copy of each CD home periodically.

Total cost to you before trip: Maybe $30 US.

Total cost of having all the memory you need: Priceless.

Bottom line: Improvise, be inventive.
