Hi guys,

I've just bought myself a Canon Powershot G6 and am after any comments on how to take good photos of jewerelly. Most of my shots of gold jewerelly come out looking silver and if I have the flash on, the photo looks blurred. If you can't tell, I am only an amatuer with taking photos so any help would be great!

Make a small studio for shooting your pix.

- Three or more lamps to get rid of any shadows.

- Turn off flash

- Shoot in Av mode using a large aperture setting (to compensate for no flash). Try starting at F2.8. Play around with different aperture settings and see what you get. Thats the advantage of digital....keep shooting until it looks right.

- Use a tripod to steady the camera

- Consider using the Wireless Controller which came with the G6.

- Use Macro Mode and shoot from about 1 foot away.

- Set White Balance to Flourescent.
