Default body only?

what does this actually mean? the guts are missing?

I saw a fuji S2Pro selling at an online shop locally for a reasonable price but noticed it had '(body only) next to it?

confused? so that means i'd have to buy something else? lens etc?

enlighten me ops:

means jsut the body. No lens. You'll frequently see SLRs sold this way.

SLR's usually come with body only, no lens. Manufacturers assume you either already have the lenses for that camera body, or that you are going to buy into their lens system. Sometimes though you may find SLR's being sold packaged with a lens, usually a cheap one to get you started, but top-of-the-line SLR's don't bundle any lens.
