Was wondering after I download pics and bring them up in CS,why dont they come up at 300dpi instead of 72dpi?Thanks for any help.

It really doesn't matter. Your screen is probably 72 or 96 DPI and this what anything on it will be displayed at. When you're printing you want to be aiming at 200-300 DPI and you can calculate this from the pixel dimensions of the file. For example a 2MP camera will produce around 1600 x 1200 pixels. This is fixed it's the sensor resolution. I can print it out at 8 x 6 inches 200 DPI or 16 by 12 inches at 100 DPI.
