The Kodak is an Auto-only camera. Although it does Auto very well, there's no way to override anything.
The lowest shutter speed is 1/8 sec I believe, not adequate for even low levels of light in daytime shooting (e.g. in a woods). I've encountered readings of 1/4 sec at f/2.8 in broad daylight taking pictures of tree stumps in a forest, and of a trellis in a park !!!
You only get one compression setting for each of the 3 available resolutions.
I don't think it has macro.

Currently it IS the cheapest camera in Canada with a 3X optical zoom, about $85 less than a great camera, the Canon A40, which has dozens of features the Kodak lacks. You can grow INTO the Canon, whereas you'll probably grow OUT OF the Kodak.
