Default Advice on 4MP Camera/Ophthalmology Slit Lamp Photos

I am in the process of purchasing my first digital camera. I would like to purchase a 4MP camera. I have narrowed my choices to the Sony S85, Nikon 4500, Olympus 5050, and Canon G3. I am an ophthalmologist and would like to use my camera to take slit lamp photos. A patient had lent me a Sony S85 and I was able to place the camera lens up to the slit lamp ocular to take photos. A slit lamp is similar to a microscope. It has two oculars and different magnification settings. There is a light source that illuminates the eye. It seemed to work well. Has anyone had experience with this use of a digital camera. What camera and accessories would be recommended. Thank you

Due to this type of use being so specialized, you should check with your optomitrist association or the slit lamp's manufacturer to see what cameras are recommended for this type of use...from the models given by those sources, then you should narrow down the list.

You might also see if there's a optomitrist's forum or if there's a forum covering the manufacturer of the slit lamp...your type of question is beyond most users of this group.

I think we're talking eyes here, not teeth!
