Default 3 MP vs 4MP

Hello all....I am pretty new to digicams and I am close to buying one. I can't seem to decide between 2 different cameras. They are both on Steve's best of 2002, one's a 3 MP camera and the other is a 4 MP camera. One has Smart Media, the xD technology. Why would I want to go with a 4MP instead of a 3MP. It will be for recreational use, nothing fancy.

Olympus C4000 vs. FujiFilm 3800

Any thoughts??

The difference between 3mp and 4mp is not noticeable in photo quality. The 3800 has a 6X optical zoom vs the 3X optical zoom for the C4000. If you need a long zoom then the 3800 would be for you. The C4000 has an excellent supermacro mode if you have the need for closeup photos. Either camera should serve you well.
