what does it mean?

does anyone know if Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ5K have something like panorama mode or stitch assist mode like other camera? because it comes with Panorama Maker software, but no mode to shoot it.

The panning mode is just for blurry background in FZ5 - you don't really need panarama modes in cams to do panarama pics .My Canon S2 has it but have'nt used it - it might limit the type of panarama pic you want to take /eg. 4 pics up and 4 pics to the side.

Where the panarama mode would come in handy is if you didn't know how to use manual modes in your cam, as the panarama mode takes care of things such as focus and exposure

Cheers Dom

The best way to shoot panoramas, is reading the ligth at all the places you need to shoot, then set MANUAL exposure and shutter time and take 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or the pictures you want and use the panorama maker. One of the best panorama programs in the market (and free with Panasonic!!). Remeber: Never use a polarizer filter when taking panoramas, or the sky will change dramatically in color at each shoot.
