Default S230 vs Optio S

I went to the camera store around my house today and see Optio S is offered at $50(CDN) lower than S230's price. So, I am tempted , but I am also worrying about the picture quality produced by this camera compared to Canon S230. I have checked Optio S's spec online, and it seems that this camera offers similair features as s230 while it's smaller than s230. I have not found any detailed reviews and untouched sample pics on Optio S since it just came out. So, in your honest opinion, which camera is better especially in picture quality? S230 or Optio S ? Anyone got their hand on this camera yet? I am looking for a very compact camera that can produce average or above picture quality in its class.

Thank you very much !

If you go to www.dpreview.com and head over to their forums, you'll find several threads concerning the Optio-S in the "Other Digicams" section. Several threads have screenshots. If you're expecting S230 image quality from the Optio-S, you may be out of luck as I don't think the Optio-S is on the same level image quality wise.
