hello all,

I bought a Canon Rebel DS6041 camera off eBay. The auction did not include charger, lens cap, lens shade,, etc.

Could someone suggest some accessories I might need?

I tried to google DS6041... but never found any info about this camera. tho it kinda looks like the 300D... are all the 300D accessories compatible with DS6041?

I've never heard it called this before, but the DS6041 is referred to as the "Digital Rebel", and it has the 6.3 MP sensor, so it looks like it would take all the accessories used by the 300D.

For sure you need a battery charger and at least two batteries. A DC charger that you plug into your car cigarette lighter is good, too, if you want to shoot in out-of-the-way places where an AC outlet would be hard to come by.

Memory is getting cheap enough that you ought to have at least one 512MB card -- more if you plan to shoot a lot of pix where access to a computer or other memory dump is limited.

Other accessories largely depend on your specific shooting interests.

The Digital Rebel IS the 300D (it's called the Digital Rebel in the Us, the 300D in the Europe).
