After a few more bug fixes and a lot more testing, version 2.0 is now ready. This is a proper release, not a beta, and replaces 1.132.

Key changes over v1.132:

It's **twice** as fast
It's cleaner, more tolerant of noise and extracts a bit more detail
It supports exposure stacking with automatic image alignment
Has a thumbnail list so if you process a batch, you can review the before/after for each image once it's finished
The preview (when processing a single image only) is much more friendly
You can resize before processing AND after processing. So you can process at a higher resolution than you want to save at for better results.
It displays simple EXIF information for the image

Have fun and please join the AutoHDR facebook group if you can.

And so it is!

I have been following Martins progress with this software closely, and I had to test version 2.0 right away.

See for yourself:

This is the middle exposure - or Median file (as I call it...) of 3 exposures. Except resizing, nothin has been done to this file.

And this is the end-result after using Martins new software. How is this for a 3-D effect?

I am really pleased with this software, Martin. You have really come a long way. Congratulations!

Best regards,
Walter from Norway

Nice shots. I was having trouble with a few of the beta versions crashing so i had retreated to an older one. i'll give the new release a test too. i have always like the results but the crashing was, naturally, a big negative.

Just had time to try one image quickly with v2.01. No crashes. Some little quibbles:
1. preview opens up on top of menu and i had to move it. save pane opens up under preview and i couldn't see much of it.
2. clicking the parameters up and down regenerated the preview for each step. as i like to try the extremes first (like set shadows to 1 and then 10) to see the results, this becomes a very slow-feeling operation.

Good Points:
1. Preview generation is much improved over earlier versions.

that's all for today. thanks for the new release.

1. Oops. didn't think of that - the preview is 'Always on top'. I need to do the same for the save dialog and the advanced dialog.
2. It should work that if you click fast then it stops the preview and restarts it so you don't have to wait for it to finish each time. You can also just type the number into the box to go straight to a specific number
