Yeah - it's a limitation i did mention somewhere in passing - it thinks the bits of sky aren't connected so it adjusts them separately. I have an idea of how to correct it but I'm still working on it.

[EDIT] - Ordo - please can you download and try v1.4 on the same image. Thanks, Martin

the link is here http://www.martinandanna.talktalk.net/docs/AutoHDR.exe it is within the first post of this thread jason.... martin sykes is the author and is kind enough to let us crituque and test it for further improvements remember this is only for a one jpeg conversion so it kinda works almost like a psuedo hdr

@ martin this version only lets you convert and save a jpeg to jpeg and png ..... would i need to upload a gif file to convert to other formats?

Sorry simple - was a small bug. You can save in all 5 formats now in v1.5

I think the fix I did for Ordo has helped in a couple of other areas - for example on your eagle, in 1.3 the white stripe above the eye got lost but I think it should remain in 1.5

[EDIT - 1.6 uploaded with a correction to the saturation adjustment]

Not a great photo but very complex so a good test. Pretty pleased with the results on 'Normal' setting in v1.6

Just upoaded a slightly tweaked v1.7 which uses *slightly* less memory. Quick example processed on the 'Hard' setting on the full 8MP image took about 4 minutes. Until I started mucking about with this I never realised quite how much information was contained in even an 8-bit Jpeg that you just can't see. Think I might be inspired enough to get myself a better camera now - at least one that can save RAW.
