GAMLA STAN, STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN

Hey all. Hey, I just love Martin Sykes' HDR software. I was in Stockholm, Sweden last week. Found a shot that certainly HDR-challenged. Many thanks Martin! Oh, by the way, the photo on my computer is sharper than what you see here. Ned

Oi, thanks for that... again, this is very re-sized version... as I mentioned above, the photo in my computer is much sharper... a lot better than even this. But these two photos really show what one can do with Martin's really neat software!

In case anyone here is still using AutoHDR and not signed up to the Facebook group, there's a new version 2.08 available for download that includes several tweaks and refinements. Here's a quick sample of a single shot pseudo HDR:

And After:

Thanks for keeping us informed Martin

Hope you don't think this is a silly question, is there a tutorial page we can learn how to judge from the original picture what settings we need to enter into your program and what effects we can expect from each of those settings?

Yes - from www.autohdr.co.uk there is a link to a tutorial. It's a bit out of date now but covers the basics and has some sample files for you to work with.

I recently stumbled across AutoHDR and I've a question abut something the program is doing that is puzzling me. Whenever I import, process, and save an image in AutoHDR it will enlarge the original and reduce it from 300 dpi to 96 dpi. Why is this happening and how do I stop it? Or is the program supposed to do that?

Martin, i do prefer the 'before' in the picture above. The 'after' picture looks to 'processed' for me.

Aside from too much magenta in the sky the 2nd version is quite good.

It seems Martin hasn't been on in quite a while with his autoHDR updates, it's now up to vers 2.15

So I thought I would insert one made with it.. Before and after as an animated gif
