Just my taste, but I like contrast of your first one better. I find Photomatix does tend to flatten tones more than I like so I'll add a little extra contrast with Lightroom (or Photoshop). Photomatix handled the highlights better than the first one though.

When I downloaded your latest version I find what came up on my screen is sheer perfection. Much better than the image from the Forum. It sure does play with our uploads and deteriorates them a lot, both in blurriness and brightness. Its hard to critique when so much bad happens. From what I downloaded I wouldnt touch a pixel. If anyone else downloads the pic does the same hold true?
