On reading many of the postings here, it seems that quite a few hybrids seem to have varying quality and reliability issues. I've had a DigiLife DDV-1000 for over a year now and taken many hours of videos and many stills and in different conditions on holidays and it's never missed a beat. It may not be HD but its videos are low noise and clean even in low light except for the occasional flare in bright light.

Is this a good camera or have I just been lucky??

Rob :-)
