Very cool, i tried the firmware an my U.S. action hd gvs. it works just fine. ill have to play with it to see what else got fixed in this revision. The thing that makes me curious is the cam has been out for what, about 6 months. whats with all the firmware revisions. I can see once or twice a year but heck this thing has had 6 or 7 revisions in as many months. thats crazy! :G

FW 2602 is a beta -test version, it is not a released version that was passed to the public, or is it, this was what Iwas told, and here it is, released to the world, while FW 2702, is also available apon request.
You may ask me them, thecompany if you like. With Fw 2703, you may have issues of losing a recording due to the icon LOW SPEED CARD. Yes we have come a long way. and hoping these fixs will be publically noted here. if a topic needs to be opened for requests of firmware we may just do that, then just asking one for firmware. yes we are a site for discussion with info, and place to share info, and hard work pays off, and a ton of personal time goes into my reviews, videos, and what I recieve for it you could not imagine. Nothing more then a thank you from some, and a few personal gifts from others, and that I thank you. BTW be careful about virus Bloodhound.pdf found on rapidshares opening of hte link |

got to play with 2602 before the sun went down, the flicker at 1080 is almost elimated. I dont know if others have noticed it. its usually when you pan too fast. also it seems like the night shot has been totally re done and the snapshot button reacts almost instantly. its amazing what a little software can do.

Nightshot mode shows ZGrain and blue pixalation, it used to be purple a few years ago, and better with the Action HD. now with 2703 it is just that , something that can be visable through interference.
yes I shall try to compare all these fw's one day back to back to back~ |

Well, I asked directly for the FW 2702,
but instead Aiptek Germany sent me the FW 2602. Fishy is there also a FW 2703 or was this a typo ? Once you write 2702 and then 2703 ? Maybe you can also upload the latest firmware to http://www.rapidshare.de it is very easy, just go there and choose the file you want to upload and after transferit gives you a link to the stored file. Many thanks in advance. P.S: Have not yet flashed my camera with the 2602, still playing with the 2502 version, which was much better in low light mode versus myold 1904 version and also the video data rate is much higher now giving less artifacts. Will load the 2602 today and compare. Regards, Stefan. P.S: The XBMC.org latest Live Beta 9.04 does not work on my current Asus M2NPV-VM motherboard with its NVidia 6150 chipset and Dualcore Athlon 3800+ It just crashes, too bad, but Version 8.10 works okay. Playbackof 1080p seems to be less choppy with the 8.10 XBMC version than under WindowsXP. You have to set the vertical sync in XBMC under the LCD SCREEN settings, otherwise it will not sync .. Yes we all make mistakes, ha-ha-ha.
And no I will not load to a virus site called Rapidshare.com, the virus recieved was called bloodhound.pdf, In due time guys, in due time. I was told that Ver. 2602 ( see below) is a Beta-test notto be released, and there it is. I believe the company doesn't know what they have. or is told differ of what is to be given. ![]() |

Ive worked it tech support before, and the truth of the matter is those people who talk to the customers are usually the least informed. and are forced to somtimes just make stuff up if they dont have a clear answer. So who knows. 2602 seems to run well so i think ill keep it till something newer comes along
