Aiptek AHDZ 700, which is the German model. With this card I always got the slow card error in 1080p mode. When I switched to 720p mode I could record with this card, so it is better just to buy faster cards.. especially, if the faster cards are not much more expensive. Regards, Stefan. |

By the way, what is the latest firmware version ?
I have inside my AHD Z700 the firmware version 2901 from 2nd Jul. 2009 lib: sdk 3.2-0324 But I am not very satisfied with it, cause it is not good anymore in dark light and night mode and it does not focus well in bad light situations and can´t focus on small objects, like flying birds... The focus has been getting very slow... Is there new or better firmware for it ? Also I sometimes always get the slow memory card error and it just only records then 3 second clips and quits with the slow memory card error... So, which firmware is the best for this camera ? Please let me know. Many thanks. P.S: There is also now an enhanced model: AHD Z700 Extreme with HDMI output and real FullHD 1920x1080 recording. Does this model have the same bug with the Mono-Input only on the external Mike input ? |

the last firwmare was fw 2901 overseas, and 2902 USA
to use the latest is the best. as cam gets old that is what happ's. and well the Extreme is the latest, so why would a company continue to improve a old model, I will never know. To help those enjoy what they own, and have fun using the best model they ever had.......

this is a Autofocus lens no pin hole, only fixed focuses have that,
I will say this: the GVS sound is not great it isvery high and distirted when filming any LOUD scenes. it does fine whe you are all alone and super quiet. when the worldwakes up it becomes hmmm
