Default Aiptek GO 720 HD as a webcam

A little over a year ago I was here reading about this camera in a big thread. Because of that thread I bought this camera and love it. I'm just wondering for all those people that have it, is it at all possible to use this camera as a webcam at all? I find the qualities of most standard webcams to be horrible, and I just wondered rather than springing on a fancy high quality web cam, if there was a way through a specific software program or something that I could have this guy do double duty.

I was reading a site which suggested using a video capture device with the AV cables on a DV recorder to use it as a webcam. Has anyone tried that with the Go?

I've googled a few times but never found anything specific to using the go. As soon as you plug in its USB cable, the camera mostly shuts off, so it seemingly can't be plugged in via USB and record at the same time.
