Default DXG 587v IR filter removal ?

I picked up a DXG 587v at a pawn shop the other day and was wondering if anyone had a writeup on removal of the IR blocking filter ? I would like to use this as a static camera with an IR floodlight array for ghost hunting.

I see alot of how-to's on webcams and traditional digi cameras but not so much on camcorders. I suppose the process is similar but i really don't want to go ripping this thing apart without any kind of instruction about what i'm looking for.

As an aside i'm really impressed with the image quality this thing produces for a cam that can be picked up for about $130 new. These things sure have come a long way the last few years.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
