hello. i was looking to buy my pops a scanner since he wanted to scan all of the old family photos. we dont need the slides/negative option since all he wants to scan are the actual photos. plus, my cousin, who live 5 minutes away from me, already has a great film scanner.

although i dont need the film option, the best one i saw was the canon 8600F.

and i was comparing the 4400F and the 8600F, and they seem to be almost identical - but the 8600F is more than twice the price. :?:
