Default Photo Scanners: (PICS2SD), (SNaP), (Perfection V500).

Photo Scanners: (PICS2SD), (SNaP), (Perfection V500).
.

I inherited about 1,400 (35mm) colored slides, (1959 to 1988).
I also have hundreds and hundreds of photos, and film negatives.
I found it to be much "Cheaper", overall, if I purchased my own scanner.

Now, I will require a three in one, a special scanner.
- To find the best way to download and save, this old format.
- To save these very important images. (Family History).
- To save this old format, equal to, or of better image, "Quality".
- Cost ($).
- Imaging Quality - Dots Per Inch (D.P.I.).
- Imaging Duplicating - Picture Size (85% to 100%)
- Procedure for scanning an image.
- Included Software.
- Misc.

Notes:
- I read of a scanner, that the (35mm) colored slide, must have the film "removed" from the cardboard casing, before scanning !
- I read of a scanner, that for a (35mm) colored slide, it only copies "about" 90% of the original image.
- I read of a scanner, that image duplication was of much "less clarity", compared to the original image.
- I read of a professional scanner, that can actually "improve" image quality, when duplicating.

My Findings Posted:
- Specifications = Actual facts, posted on their original web site.
- Pictures = Actual pictures, posted on their original web sites.

- Being a Junior Member, I am limited to what I can report, to prevent scamming ! (A.O.K.).
- Be sure to do your "own" research, before you buy any product.

- Sorry, but I am Not impressed with the specifications of the Wolverine (F2D), slide scanner, with only a scan "Quality" = 1,800 DPI
