Default Manual pre-scan adjustments in TWAN

I have an Epson Perfection 1240U which I love dearly. However, there is no TWAIN driver for Windows 7, and I am having to consider another scanner. Our Professional photography store recommends Canon 9000F, and it does look like it would serve, but here is a deal-breaker: I must have the ability to make adjustments to the subject after the preview and before the scan.

I am attaching a screen capture of the TWAIN screen that Epson uses - one can see the various adjustments that can be made prior to the scan. Does anyone know if Canon has a similar ability? Attaching your TWAIN appearance would help.

Thank you. --Gualtier Malde

Gualtier, I don't do a lot of scanning, so I may not know what you are talking about. Have you seen THIS ? I don't know if it will work or not, but it was just released July 11.

Have you looked at this page:http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/s...form=Windows32 ?

Even if you are running 64 bit Win7, the drivers should install to the (x86) folder and be functional.

Thank you. I do have VueScan and so far it is the only thing that is available which will act as a TWAIN for the Epson Perfection 1240U. My problem is that, so far, I have not found a way to make the precise pre-scan adjustments that were available to me with the Epson driver.

Thank you, Brian, but believe me I have tried every way available to use that driver. It still works in my Windows2000 and XP machines but W7-64 just doesn't let it function. The scanner is really a good one and there is no need to replace it if I can use it.

I had figured that I'd just scan on the W2000 and move the results to my Dell Inspiron, but the W2000 machine burped and (?) died. May be able to resuscitate easily, but in the meantime I wanted once again to try to use this nifty scanner in my main machine.
