Default Epson 2450, 3200 or HP S20 Film Scanner?

I have a budget of $500 max and want to buy a good scanner to scan my old 35mm negatives and slides and then print on my S820. I do not have the money for the expensive Nikon,Canon, Minolta, etc. models. I have read reviews on the Epson 2450, 3200 and HP S20 scanners, but would like user input from this forum. What are y'alls opinions/experience with these models?

I recently purchased an Epson 3200
and it GREAT!!!!!!!!!!

I have been scanning more photos than film,
but the few slides and negatives I scanned
turned out great.

And it's rather fast too!!!!!!!!!

A great scanner!!!!!!!!
