I have an Epson R200 and just tried using Likon glossy 4X6 paper
in spite of favourable reviews on this and other sites I cannot get a decent print out .. colours are OK but result is unacceptably grainy. I'm printing from CS2
any advice as to what settings to use eg media type: photo paper or glossy photo paper; or quality
many thanks

I have an R220 and get the Likon paper VERY CHEAP over here.
The only way I was able to get decent print is to use a custom profile..
without it, the colors are off...

(seeing the cost of the paper it was worth the price of the profile)

I'm not using original epson ink, you COULD try Color Controls in AdobeRGB mode with a gamma of 1.8 ..

Make sure you convert your pictures to AdobeRGB color space in CS2..
