Default Best generic i950 inks?!

HELLO! Does ANYONE know what is the best generic ink for the i950 (in terms of quality to original canon inks)?!

There are MANY choices, but I want to know which is most like canon inks and won't clog my printer or color my photos a different shade of color.

I have heard of inkjetgoodies.com but even on that website there are about FIVE different generic brands!

WHICH ONE SHOULD I CHOOSE?

Thanks!
Phillip

I have used PrintRite brand for years and am VERY happy with the results. I have had NO ink related printer failure on about 10 printers that friends and relatives of mine own who use PrintRite and the color is exact unlike other cheap inks i've used.

They are one of the few aftermarket brands that actually ARE a manufacturer. What you will find is that most aftermarket brands are made by some outfit in china and packaged in whatever the vendor wants the box to say, such as carrot and others.

Here is a link to their website: http://www.print-rite.com/

I usually buy mine from ComputerGate http://www.computergate.com/products...prodseq=J4IK01
but it doesn't look like they have the cartridges for your Canon.

Hope this helps.

Hi Phillip,
After having spen a LOT of $ on ink over a 2 year period with my Canon S800 (and having an 8 year old daughter using it! LOL) when I got my i950 a couple of months ago, I spent a lot of time on the Printers and Printing Forum @ Dpreview , http://www.dpreview.com/forums/forum.asp?forum=1003
and found that a LOT in fact majority of Canon users who use non-OEM inks (on that forum) use Inket Goodies refill kits and ink. I have been using IJG for about a month now, and it sure is nice paying about $1 per refill as compared to $11.50 @ Office Depot. I have been VERY happy with the prints thus far, including borderless 8.5 x11s from my 2.1 megapixel Oly 2100uz! On Office Depot Premium High Gloss Photo Paper there is (perhaps) a TINY bit more "grain" using the IJG ink, but I have no direct comparisons on that paper with the Canon inks. Again VERY pleased so far! Here is the link to Inkjet Goodies. Look under Refilling supplies/kits/Canon. Curt

I can also recommend Inkjetgoodies

I've been using them for about 6 months and find them excellent, currently using Ilford Galerie Glossy and Smooth Pearl for photo's and CompuColor 200gsm for plain paper colour prints (brochures etc.).

Only problem I've got is they use UPS for international shipping which is expensive and also ensures I'll get hit for import duty, VAT and a handling charge by UPS which doubles the cost of an order

Plans are underway to get my next (stocking up for a while!) order shipped to friends in Florida and collect it from there
