Default Epson Papers

I have a Epson 1280, I have always used the Epson paper/ink with excellent results. However, for test photos it can get pricey. I tried a generic paper from "Sams". The ink sit on top of the paper and had a krinkle finish look. It never did get dry. Now I'm leery of trying anyother brand. Has anyone with a 1280 used other glossy or matt finish brand paper with good results? If so please publish brand names or types. Thanks

Bob

I have just tried some Red River paper in my Canon I9100 printer. It does a really nice job, dries fast, and looks as good as the Canon Pro paper. It has the same feel as the Canon and Epson papers too. They have sample packs to try, so you don't spend a ton of money on paper you might not like. Their site is at: http://www.redrivercatalog.com/

I also noticed that Costco has Epson Glossy Photo Paper 120 Sheets, 8.5" x 11" size at $19.99. B and H photo has also had good prices on paper and ink too. You might also want to check www.buy.com for Epson paper and inks.

Hope this helps
Bill
