Hi all,

Trying to resurrect an HP 7100 that has set for a couple of years. Supposedly was never used. After replacing the ink cartridges, I got a bad printheadmessage for all 4 heads. I removed them one at a time and soaked in alcohol then gently cleaned the nozzle area with paper towel. Now I'm only getting the bad printhead message for the cyan and yellow.

Should I try soaking them for a longer period? I'm not sure how long I can leave them out before I create a problem with the new ink cartridges.

Any help would be appreciated.

Gary, don't know whether this'll help you out, you may have already done all the things recommended, but check it out anyway:
