I have a canon ip4200 I have been accumulating chips that I have taken off cartridges. the problem is that the printer knows where each chip belongs but I do not so, if I try and use one, the chances are very good that I will be told that I have two cartridges of the same color installed.

Does anybody know how to identify the chips as to what color they are supposed to belong to?

Thank you..........

Put a chip on an empty cartridge and try it at each color position, in turn, until your printer accepts it. You then know it's for that color.

Repeat for all the other chips.
