Default Anybody using Epson's DuraBrite pigment ink to print photo?

Is it good in photo printing compare to ordinary inks? Also is there any generic available for those chipped cartridges?

Yes, it's very good. The ink doesn't fade over a period of a couple of years like an earlier printer I had earlier. When you first view the pigmented inks to that of dye based inks, you'll notice a "layering" effect right after the print comes out. My experience has been that this goes away after the print is a few days old. I'm very satisfied with the quality of photos and especially with the longevity of the colors. I don't think anybody can vouch for the 70 year claim Epson has, but time will tell...

Yes, I have made photos on my c80 and they were quite acceptable.

And yes, the carts can now be reset/refilled. But I have a acquaintance that refills his carts, and the ink kit he is using fades in a couple of weeks on his brochures when hung in a window. The real epson durabright ink is both very good at fade and water resistance.
