Hey all,

The last time I successfully printed on CDs using my Canon iP4200 was around mid 2007. I've now since tried to do so again (26th Feb 2009) using Windows XP (as I did in 2007), but for some reason, the printer keeps displaying a message of either 'not recognising a printable CD in the tray' or that 'the tray has not been inserted', when I've actually had a printable CD in the inserted tray.

I've followed all the prompts (inserting the tray, aligning the arrows, pressing 'resume', etc.) but still having the same problem.

Other things I've tried are: checking/unchecking the 'Detects a printable disc on the CD-R tray' box under Maintenance > Custom Settings, setting my Canon as the default printer, downloaded/installed the CD LabelPrint software update ver. 1.4.1, but nothing seems to solve the problem I'm having.

Any suggestions or links for further help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Freddy.
