Default Checking remaining ink levels Canon i950

Sorry Steve. I also posted this in the canon camera section before I realized my mistake.

I know I'm almost out of photo magenta (BC1 6PM), but as I'm now going to reorder, I'd like to check the levels of the other cartridges, and I can't see how to check them without actually printing.

Can anyone please enlighten me. Thanks a bunch. Running XP on PC.

Hi,

Just came across your query.

Go to

Start -> Printers and Faxes and locate your printer icon Canon i950. Select it with your right mouse button and select "Printing preferences".

Go to the "Maintenance" tab and click "Start Status Monitor". Make sure your printer is switched on and connected. The level of ink for each tank should show.

On another note, are you totally satisfied with your printer? Sometimes I get really frustrated with the output. For example, some photos I took recently with my Digital Rebel actually looked overexposed! Am using Epson Premium Glossy Photo paper BTW.
