Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone had come across the same problem as me with their Canon iP4200 ?

The problem is only with the Cyan ink - all other inks are fine.

When I print in Standard (or Draft) mode, Cyan doesn't print correctly.

For example: If I print an A4 page of just a Cyan square covering the page, it will print it with very regular alternating bands of light and dark Cyan going down the page (each about 1/2 inch high).

If I print the same page in high quality mode the problem isn't there - it's just a solid block of Cyan?

Any ideas please?

Had the same problem on one of my IP4000s, taking out the print head and flushing it under a running tap (faucet) with cold water helped clear it a few times, just make sure the head assembly is fully dry before you re-fit it.

Eventually it got to the point of not working so I replaced the printer with an IP4500.
