:-)I have an i860 and need to replace the magenta cartidge. I noticed there is a Canon Photo Magenta available. Since most of my printing is photos, would I be better off replacing the magenta tank with a Photo magenta one? Is there any down side? Will I have better photo quality or life? Thanks for the help.

It won't work. The Photo Magenta and Photo Cyan are 1/2 intensity versions of the ink that is used in the 6 color printers. It will just waste your time and money.
