Am I correct in thinking that the BCI3 series of inks are pigment based, and that the BCI6 series are dye based inks? TIA

The black in the BCI-3e series of inks is pigmented, but the colours are dye-based.

Hi If ever you want to change the Black (pigment) to Dye based ink, you can flush the tank out with water, (takes a little while) then dry it out on a paper wad held against the outlet hole. DON'T MIX INKS

If ever you are having flow problems with any of the tanks try flushing them, then fill them with clear alcohol (germ killer) then reflush with water, dry out as above, then refill with ink. Always remember....never leave a vacant tank seat... Take one out--Put one in immediately
