Hi,

I am long time fan of the site, but a newby to this Forum. I currently have a little problem:

My i960 prints out photo perfectly on the included Canon photo paper pro. It is magnificent. But consider the high cost of the Canon photo paper, I am not willing to go that route. I happen to have many left over photo papers from my old retired Epson 875DC. And the primary source is the Epson Glossy Photo Paper that I got from Costco ($20 for 120 sheets of 8.5x11). It had served me well on Epson.

Now when I print photos using them, I get this dark redish tint on the really dark colors (like black toxedos, dark geans, etc...) I tried many methods: adjust the intensity to -6; turned on ICM, image optimizer, photo optimizer pro, photo noise reduction; tried different paper settings of photo paper pro, and glossy photo paper; yet I was only able to reduce the intensity of the redish tint. It is still very visible.

Does any one experience the same problem? Is there any fix to it?

Select Matte paper for the Epson photo paper from Costco.

Good Luck...

Did selecting Matte work for the Epson paper?
