Hi, y'all.

I have a Canon S-300 and I don't know how to tell if it's got water-based ink or not. I can't find it in the manual or anywhere. The reason I want to know is because certain papers I want to buy say they'll work in most inkjet printers, but not water-based ones.

Thanks for your help!

G.Day KatB

Your ink tanks are #24 Colour and Black. The inks are water based. All the Canon range use water based inks whether Pigment(Black) or Colours.:G

Yes, right now only some of the Epsons printers come with pigment based color inks from the factory.

Canon and HP are dye based color inks. The dye inks have a better color gamut, and with the latest ink & paper technologies their display life is getting to be quite long, much longer thanmost traditional chemical prints.
