I've recently upgraded my Epson Photo Stylus 830 to an Epson R800, the prints are much better, but can I save money on buying compatible inks and paper without sacrificing quality too much? I'm still on the original Epson ink but have bought some compatible ink to try, it's nearly a quarter of the price and they claim it's as good as Epson's....we'll see!
I haven't experimented too much with papers though, my experience with compatible inks with my last printer were mainly good.
Any advice on what to try would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

You can try http://InkRepublic.com

they claim they have equivalent pigment ink like Epson's, especially for R800 user, it's been approved that inkrepublic has great solution as well as ink.

I also heard that they will launch epson equivalent paper soon.
