First, I apologize as I posted this in the printer forum yesterday. I believe I should have posted this here the first time.

Have been using Red River Ultra Pro Satin on my R1800 with their profile. I ran out of paper so I bought some of the Ilford Smooth Pearl. I did some comparisons printing with Ilford's profile for the R1800.

The surface of the two papers is just about identical but the Ilford paper is heavier. The Ilford prints though have a very slight yellowish tint. If you saw each print individually, you probably would never notice but the same print compared side by side shows noticeable differences.

I have thought about getting a custom profile made but don't know if it will change things much.

My questions are, is the yellowish tinge a function of the paper in general and would a custom profile be able to change that.
