Default hands on impression kodak dcs 645m

made an appointment with erwin at calumet in nyc to check out the digiback, boy, does kodak pay these guys to review it and comment positively on it....
dont get me wrong, i am paying rent shooting assignments, no bullsh*T here, this product is geared towards professionals, (professionals of what?) its light-years behind, to put it mildly....
kudos to nikon and canon for their pro-products!

Default dcs pro back

What was your impression. Why do you think it is light years behind?

very small lcd screen, insufficient buffer, 4images, now keep in mind this is a $$$$ item, do not compare it to a 5megpix prosumer camera! my girlfriend's canon elf has a brighter and bigger display!
very annoying to shoot 4 frames and then the session has to come to a stop to allow the data to be written to the microdrive....
the colors of the display do not compare to what one sees on the d1x for instance,
i did make an appointment with the sales rep last week, so i do expect him t be prepared....(correct ajustments, charged batteries, the basics), another big NONO was in program setting the exposure was completely off!! outside sunny day, very managable scenery, totally off!!! for anybody who is looking for a digiback to take outside and simply replace film, IMHO this is absolutly not it......

or with a lot of noise. Now in a need for Hi Res Digital Back I was
thinking about it but I would need to have a close look at some result
before . and any presicion on the time of the buffer ?

thanks, Happy New Year !
