Default Kodak Z981

im new to photography.. i used to own alot of those blocky shaped PnS cameras..but now im slowly moving up..

i was wondering if the Z981 is able to focus on an object and have the background blurred.

any sites that can help me improve my use of the z981.

Welcome to the forum.

Cameras with a small image sensor are not ideal for this kind of shot.
You need to arrange the picture so that the subject is close to the camera
and the background is far away. Use the largest aperture (lowest F number)
that the camera will allow.

If you are interested in creative use of depth of field, you would
be better off using a DSLR and a fast lens.
