Hi
Unfortunately the lens cover popped out of my Kodak Zi8. But I'm not sure if it was just there for protection, or to give a wide angle? If just for protection, I can live without it. If it was for a wide angle obviously I need to replace it. I can't really tell from looking at shots. I'd need an identical shot with and without the cover to really know. Any advice? |

contact Kodak if, If teh company still has a department for cameras?
the part you are referring to is the lense cover that has three tabs, that sells for around $15.00 soulds quite expensive doesn't it? shipping part ... What you can do is locate glass that will fit over the area and glue to place? WHat it does is protect from dust and dirt collecting on the actual lens itself. There is a ring/washer that covers the glass so Iam sure you can find a 15mm washer, and glass? http://dx.com/p/glass-lens-for-flash...ck-5630?item=5 DX.com has lens glass just make sure it is the right size? DX is Dealextrem.com You can live without it, and like said you can repair the vintage zi8 good luck. And enjoy
