Default Remote shutter for DX6490??

Hi all

I need to build a remote shutter for the DX6490 camera, as the 10 sec timer is too long for me.

Do you know if there is any way to build it?.. Is there any remote shutter available for this camera?

And, anyone knows a "tip" to make the 10-sec timer shorter?... my previous camera, a nikon coolpix 4300, had 10-sec and 2-sec timer, but my new kodak seems to have 10-sec only.

I`d like to know why an expensive camera,,as good as this one is,,,,does not come with remote capabilities,,,even my Elph had one optionally which I purchased.....Any camera with full auto has no reason for not offering this as an after purchase sale,,,smarten up Kodak,,,,,great cam though besides that...
