I've always been a point and shoot person. Still am, mostly, but unfortunately the DX7440 is not all that good in low light. My old Olympus 2020Z, when I take a shot in a darkened room with no flash, still gives an acceptable photo. Not so the 7440 which shows very little of what's in the room but a lot of the darkness. The 7440 also is not nearly as good indoors with flash as the old Olympus.

I have two choices. Use the Kodak outdoors and the Olympus indoors or learn about this PSAMC stuff. I'm not very good at understanding mechanical type directions and the 7440 manual gives only some very brief descriptions that - DUH, aren't enough for my limited brain cells.

My question is- Is there a book ( not a web course) that may help me understand better what so far eludes me? Any one?
