One thing to consider (before shipping the lens back) is whether you were using any zoom on your camera. As soon as you start zooming, you change the response of the lens. Wide angle lenses are designed to be used at the widest possible setting. (hence the name) Check this thread:

The Lensbaby

The lensbaby itself is a dedicated lens that intentionally produces soft edges in a shot. Surprisingly enough, the effect is pretty much like the shot you posted. :-)

Tom ,I think you hit the nail on the head,,so to speak, hehe Took some shots this morning and yes,,,guilty of zooming! lol The pics turned out great till I went from wide to digital telephoto(the little bar on the left of the screen that goes from white to red as you zoom in) The closer I got to DT, the vignetting started. Also, I did check out The Lensbaby site,,,how neat, whoever thought blurry would be beautiful!

Dawg,,I also used the UV and the CP with the WA lens and yes as long as I keep my finger off that zoom,,,hehe,, the pics came out great! Thanks everyone for your help, I was really disgusted thinking I had purchased a crappy lens,,when really I just needed to learn howto use it. Thanks again!
