Having problems with the shutter delay when using autofocus. Do I just have to accept that the autofocus is slow with the A200 or is there something I can door change with the settings?

If you're using Continuous AF, you may want to turn that off. You'll get a bit faster lock times in low light.
It's actually not bad for a 4 year old non-dSLR camera model. It doesn't have the same 3D Autofocus with Predictive Tracking found in the DiMAGE A2, but it it still outperforms similar models like the Nikon Coolpix 8800. You'll see it's AF system discussed in it's Review Conclusion section here: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_.../a200_pg6.html Lighting and Subject Contrast will influence Autofocus Speed, and how much you zoom in will usually influence it, too. |
