I just recently purchased a used DiMAGE Z5 and I am puzzled with this one. I am pretty sure that it is not supposed to do this but here is the problem.
The Mode Select dial itself has a tiny little bit ofplay in it up and down, (in fact itdoes not seem to me to be anything unusual)butwhenselecting "P" Program mode,"S" Shutter Mode or the "Sports Action" Modethecamerawillnot stay in these modes unless you push down on themode select dial pretty hard and hold it down. If you do not apply this constantdownward pressure it changes toan adjacent mode right next to the one selected (the dial does not move but the program istelf changes); for instance when placing it on Sports Action mode if you do not push down and apply constant pressure to the dial it will revert to Portrait mode which is next to the Sports action mode on the dial even though the dial is on Sports Action.
Has anyone seen this problem before???? :?:angry:
