Default Which compact flash card for A1?

I'll be getting an A1 soon and I'm in a quandry about which CF card to get. Not so much about their capacity, but I would like some help in understanding the differences between cards as to: best brands, quality, reliability, differences in recording speed, etc. Thanks,

Well I've always seen Sandisk as being reliable, of course they are also generally more expensive. But they did invent the format so they have got something going for them.

The Sandisk 1Gb Ultra CF holds most of my A1 pix and does it very swiftly.

Most CF are reasonably reliable but they have slower or quicker write times. You generally get quicker speeds the more you pay (as a rule).

Depends a lot on whether you are interested in taking lots of quick snaps, or happy to wait a second or two extra between shots.

In the D7/i/Hi series the Sandisk cards were slow even the Ultra cards. Not sure the data is directly transferable to the A1 but it is probably close: http://webpages.charter.net/bbiggers...rd_speeds.html
